Quote Departments

Departments are used at the start of the quotation process to ensure the correct planning department has received the job for planning.

When you click to do a new quote, you get the four options:

  • Paint
    • When the job is converted, this will be sent to the Paint Department Jobs Not Planned list in Planning Board.
  • Thermo
    • When the job is converted, this will be sent to the Thermo Department Jobs Not Planned list in Planning Board.
  • Both
    • When the job is converted, this will be sent to both the Paint and Thermo Department Jobs Not Planned list in Planning Board.
  • Sale of Goods
    • Used for quotes like sales of vehicles and materials.

Important: These departments are not used in accounts for departmental analysis.

The department selected at the quote stage is used for planning. The planning department Paint team will click ‘Paint’,

And the left-hand un-planned job list below the planning board calendar (picture below) will filter to show only the jobs which are ‘Paint’

Quote with Department Thermo
